ya the guy who said that demon hunter sucks and that soad and metalica are better is sssoooooo wrong.... soad is not better!!! they are overrated, and their new album was terrible... they must have been so stoned when they were making it... its lyrics are terrible they are just a bunch of random words, its music is terrible, and their backup vocalist sounds better than the lead singer... now i have nothing against metalica they helped to start alot of the metal that we have today but i still think that demon hunter is 10 times better. im a huge demon hunter fan and that pisses me off to hear people say crap like soad is better because they are not!!!! they got huge make millions and are suck! while bands like becoming the archetype, zao, demon hutner, august burns red, mortal treason, and still remains dont get nearly enough creditfor doing a much better job!!! and i could probably go on for days about this but im going to stop hereThis Message Edited On 05.20.06This Message Edited On 05.22.06

not being stereotypical, but before i even point out that teh style of their music is nowhere close to black metal, i will proceed to point out that even if their style WAS black metal, that would oxymoronic --> Christian Black Metal. black metal drives itself with satanist and catastrophist lyrics, therfore christianity may noy quit fit the black metal bill. sorry folks. im not religious, but still love this band. alright review, solid album

^^ Not true. Although my claims of this band even being close to that genre were beyond ignorant since I was n00b to metal at the time, there are some christian black metal bands out there. I ran across one of myspace. It does not drive on satanic themese though, it's usually pagan. Still, a band could play black metal music and sing christianized lyrics.

Haha, christian black metal is hard to believe, but I know it does exist. Theres christian bands for every genre.
I've only heard the Triptych, and as far as I'm concerned I count it as metalcore more than anything.
