This album was like a really nicely wrapped present containing a paper weight. It's cool when you first get it but once you open it it bores you to no end.

It's aesthetic is very similar to pop-punk in the way it's supposed to be like. a lot of emo i enjoy due to the contrast of melancholy vox with the dynamic guitars, but here it's just really enjoyable, catchy tunes with noodly guitars. also john's lyrics are great.

yeah they're (well, Diary definitely) is really poppy emo too, but that's pop music applied to a different type of emo which is a wide-ranging genre.
