This album is a liiiitle too long, but there aren't really any tracks that stand out as super weak. The stretch from Oarsman through to The Attic is just awesome though. Shrine is just so much more varied musically, and the vocals seem more...intimate? There is definitely more of a template to the songwriting in Varuna, but also has the brooding dark moods that Shrine doesn't capture. It's very interesting how starkly different the two albums are.
