“tf are you talking about”
can indeed spot the anime theme style in songs like Na Na Na and Party Poison.

This is getting panned holy shit
Easily the most fun and interesting record in their discography imo, the Killjoy concept was great and I love the change of atomshpere on these songs from the more straightforward alternative/emo post-hardcore stuff they released before.

Conventional weapons should have been released in 2010 and this should have never happened.

summertime is still one of their best, absolute tune

I just made a playlist of their most recent setlist and was disappointed they are still playing 5 tracks off this.
I will concede though, summertime really surprised me and sounded like an upbeat, warm 80s throwback type sound. Well done for sure

Summertime, Kids From Yesterday, Destoya, Save Yourself, and Na Na Na are my faves
nearly everything else ranges from aight to pretty good
and then there's sing and scarecrow which fuckin blow (those interludes too)

most of the singles here bar bulletproof and kids are not great ngl

I do think if Bulletproof Heart is played live it should be played in full with the studio intro as opposed to what they did recently playing the original intro. And that is for sure the song I'd request they play if I saw them live because they rarely play it and it's my favorite on this album. Also, I do kind of think Helena should be placed better in their set, either as the first song or somewhere it fits better, but otherwise I really like the sets they've been doing lately.

save yourself ill hold them back would be cool live

This album is easily their best album but just underrated. If you forget about the concept, customs and videos and just focus on the music itself (except for SING which is the worst song ever), this album is very solid, catchy and inspiring. Kids from yesterday, save yourself and Ill hold them back, Summertime, DESTROYA, etc. Among their best songs. I personally give it a 4. I think they should have combined this songs and conventional weapons and forget about the concept but hey, is MCR we are talking about, no fun without customs.
