7 years later, and with no real feelings about this album one way or the other, I just want to point this out in the review:
"when you strip away the frills of My Chemical Romance's music, you start to realize just how uninspired their songwriting is. They seem to do their best when bolstered by things like huge orchestral arrangements and ridiculous backing vocal"
"The Black Parade didn't succeed because they added one million elements to their music and tried to make it as big as possible. It succeeded because underneath all that, you still felt like there was a real band there inserting real emotions into their music"

BTW Planetary (GO!) gets my hype every single time. More than any My Chemical Romance song. Maybe my tastes are awful to most, but they're mine and equally valid as everyone else's.

this album is such a complete fucking disaster. each time i listen to it im always blown away by how wrong everything is about it
yet i like about half the songs and it has a ton of replay value for me because of how baffling of a disaster it is. i dont even know how to rate this thing
