Something I've learned with Infected Mushroom is with the wrong set of headphones or speakers you can lose many important details in the chaos. So I have a nearly perfect EQ for my car speakers with Equalizer APO from my laptop that I've been testing with IM's discog, and I spent many hours getting that EQ right early last year. Infected Mushroom goes super fucking hard when you can hear the mids and treble CLEARLY. The bass should be tuned like a studio speaker, which has bass roll off. Over-tuned bass and lower mids will suck the life out of this band. But I also think speakers benefit this band, because the bass impact on your body cannot be replicated with headphones. Earphones are probably the worst thing to use for IM.
Once the details are in your face, their entire discog is unbelievably god-tier. There are things I'm hearing that caused me to up my ratings for multiple albums. There are songs that used to be boring, for which now I can actually hear what is going on, go fucking hard. Their first three albums are especially chaotic, which is why they suffered the most before I finally heard them correctly.
