Haha well if you don't like Arcturus then you most likely won't like this band because they're pretty similar except Transcending Bizarre? is a little more technically proficient with their instruments.

Yeah but Arcturus isn't bad because they're primitive they're bad because they sound unfocused and unnecessary and completely stupid.

Eh maybe you should give this a go anyways. At least sample a few of the songs and see what you think.

@ Voivod - Good to hear you're liking this man.

This has the Arcturus touch all over it, only as a fruitful influence and not as a rip-off.

i will try to find out where they play live in Hellas and see them.

In the Hellenic Metal Hammer, there were many reports that this band is awesome live.

Yeah this band is definitely Arcturus and Sigh influenced. I just think they tone everything down a bit compared to those bands.

i would say that i "hear" Septic Flesh inside Transcending Bizarre? again as a fruitful influence, due to the melodies and the keyboards.

So far I'm thinking that this is an Unexpect rip-off which is pretty terrible considering Unexpect is derivative of all of these shitty avant-garde metal bands. Yet Unexpect do that whole style better than most of the crop and so that being said this so far is like a 1.5-2.5 rather than a 1 like what I was expecting. I'm thinking this is more like Sleepytime Gorilla Museum than anything else you said.

Hmmm yeah I guess I could see a little bit of Septic Flesh too. And Bitchfork I have no idea what Sleepytime Gorilla Museum is so that might explain that haha.

Listened to a few songs, this is pretty cool so far, but nothing particularly spectacular thus far. Looking like a 3.5 atm.

@ Bitchfork If you think Unexpect is mediocre why do you bother reading this review? By saying this album is an Unexpect rip-off is like saying Dimmu Borgir copy Anathema.

Btw Unexpect rule

I've never even listened to Unexpect so I can't really judge.
