I'd suggest starting with this because it has a little of everything.

Acanthus, I would highly reccomend that you hear their albums as they were meant to be heard, form one

end to another, this band simply works better that way.

Great review

I'm finding that this is true, very much so compared to earlier works.

I concur, when one has enough tracks that I enjoy I'll actually purchase it and give a rating.

Yeah. How many times did you listen? It will take a few listens to have it click (if it's going to).

there's some great moments here, needs more listens but it sounds like a 3.5 to me right now.

Hey, this time the actual listening brought me to this thread, not mistaking seinfeld!

I'm really liking this (black metal seems very gimmicky to me in the first place), and Tittentattenteksti is just crazy in a good way.

Thanks, Willie

Great review. Great album, too; I'm very pleasantly surprised.

Didn't enjoy more than maybe 5 songs off of the Icelandic Saga albums, but I think I'm going to end up being really into everything on this one. Well, everything except for "Blackability," which I probably would've liked more if it hadn't come in right after "Tittentattenteksti." Too much foolin' around.

I only just completed my second playthrough of it, but it's already a definite album of the year contender for me.

I agree that their debut is pretty awesome, but this isn't far behind.

Also, for the record, I didn't re-feature this ;)

I don't really like blackmetal but this album just slays

yeah, despite the weird elements, this is still probably more accessible to the non-black metal listening crowd than any Mayhem or Emperor album.

Been listening to this a hell of a lot since it came out. A fine addition to the Solefald discography and easily one of my favourite albums of the year. Standouts for me at the moment would be Norron Livskunst, Eukalyptustreet and Hugferdi
