Like, I would probably never ever buy a Dimmu Borgir album (simply because they just aren't my type), but calling them trash because of what genre they're in would be the last thing I'd do. At the very least Ti0n, you have to agree that many pop stars are decent singers, or AT LEAST good + entertaining performers.

Except the ones that do that autotune crap, I hate autotune with a burning passion.

it just pisses me off when someone damns an entire genre to hell because it isn't their thing. electronica isn't my thing but look at the front page - sometimes not being biased can actually open your eyes to some things you might enjoy. WHO KNEW?

I didn't like Have A Nice Life the first time I heard "I Don't Love" because of the whole kinda electronic/techno/industrial vibe it gave off. Now, it is my favorite song. HANL is definitely one of my favorite bands now as well.

I don't quite understand all the Lady Gaga talk like she's something unique, or as this article puts "a life form the likes of which we have never seen before." Nothing about her is different or unique. Theatrics, musical style, image, controversy, etc. It's all just rehashes of other people mixed into one ugly untalented package, epitomizing what our culture has been moving towards more and more for a long long time, excess. Not because she pushes boundaries in new ways or is more extreme than anyone else has been, but because she combines so much. Nothing new, just a shit mess of combinations.

does no one remember madonna's career? her outlandish outfits and racy videos? her crazy antics on and off stage. lady gaga is huge because there hasn't been someone like her in a while but I mean she's not doing any of this on her own accord. it's clear it's all an act to keep up this persona her record label has developed for her. I mean why does everyone act like they haven't seen this kind of pop star before.
