Bland just means that they did it without flair, but it probably doesn't deserve a 3.5. I even had it at a 4 earlier but that was waaaaaaay too generous.
I'm not sure if this is better than Homesick either, but Homesick really wasn't that bad.

I don't like how they've divided the two aspects of their sound so much. The effect is jarring, moving from something like It's Complicated (best song on the record imo) to 2nd Sucks.
I don't think they'll ever touch For Those Who Have Heart. They sounded a lot less forced back then, when I heard it I didn't really think "OHMYGOD THIS IS POP PUNK AND METALCORE AT THE SAME TIME WHAT THE HELL" it just seemed like melodic hardcore.

First gave it 3 star rating... After 5 listens it was a 3.5... A couple more 3...
And now it doesn't feel any better, it didn't grow on me as I wanted and some things I liked at the beginning turned out to be bad.
