A great record that attains a good portion of the spirit of Dreams of the Carrion Kind is the debut album from Resurgency False Enlightenment, albeit the latter does not have any progressive elements.

This was one of the first albums i heard lurking in sputnik (before joining). At the time it was

something that i couldnt comprehend how i have never had heard of it,it is in my favourite branch of

Death Metal, aggresive and technical, but never suffocates the listener, great vocals, not too deep,

and RIFFS. Tons of them.



Obviously second rate to Death and the TRULY top tier DM of its time (who isnt?), but with a firm and

secure spot in that second tier.



My only complain is that the album sounds samey in a lot of spots, but nonetheles, this is a great

album.
