Is the rest of their EP's really bad? Because this was really, really amazing.
Pretty long for an EP, too.

Yeah The Everglow was one of my favorite albums in Grade 10 (2 years ago).
I saw the negative review for (a)fternoon but I'll check it out anyways. I tend to like even shitty releases by bands I like.

(e)vening is in a class of its own, I have it as a 5
(m)orning is really good, but mostly just because of the fisherman song
(a)fternoon sucks

Just thought I'd mention it, but all 3 parts of 'Seasons' was created with Jacob Marshall (the drummer, essentially) alone. It really shows how crazy their musicianship is.
The song 'Sleep Well' also has all of the original members of the band on it since Singularity

That's 2 nice bits of trivia right there. Sweet.

"The song 'Sleep Well' also has all of the original members of the band on it since Singularity"
I was under the impression that was "Bloom." Hmmm. Either way, this EP is so great, especially at this time of the year.

No worries. When I saw them on their farewell tour they opened with it, such a great tune.

The piano suite is just too good

I think II (which is IIRC the more technically demanding one) is my least favorite but yeah all three rule

I don't see how you guys look at the parts of it as separate entities

It doesn't flow that well for me. I mean I've played plenty of piano suites myself and they usually are disjointed so it's not a knock on Mae... each one just has a different tempo and feel, so it makes for me to judge them individually.
Of course others disagree (like you and it seems ttb)

I've always thought the track changes came at really illogical times
