How silly of me to think you might not want to have a stupid sentence in your review

I could see that -- indie rap isn't too big with the staff these days outside of Dark Time Sunshine.

oh shit, THAT'S what I meant to d/l last night -- I couldn't think of it. thanks Dante
and yeah, Mac's prolly my favorite rapper so I'm a bit of a fanboy

The reason I fanboy this so much is I can connect to this shit. I heard Absolutely nowhere at a time when I was facing something shitty of epic proportions, right before it happened, and it correlated to the situation.
Sadly I can connect with the shit he talks about in Tummy and Baby Powder too.

I just think that Mac's a really relatable artist for someone like me -- I mean I fell in love with his music before I heard this album, even though I think this is his best. To me, he was like the total package in a rapper -- excellent freestyler/battler, ridiculously lyrical on an aesthetic level and a thematic level and is incredibly versatile in terms of sound and subject matter.
I really like the description of his music as hip-hop/folk.

i see eminem-mac lethal comparisons on the internet and i'm thinking "okay, they have two very different sounds and second, how do you compare them? in technical aspects or just overall listenability" its impossible to compare really because its all based on personal preference

yeah, I mean I get it in that they're both white rappers who write about their own lives and drop a lot of witty pop-culture references on some tracks. but in terms of style/delivery or overall sound I don't see it at all.
and yeah Urine I love that track -- Women of Scribble Jam ftw

see Mac is more introspective and storytelling than eminem is. he also isn't as hyper aggressive as em. i hate comparing rappers unless its punchlines
yeah women of sribble jam rapes though i think Murs wasn't feeling it as much as lethal was

I just listened to half of this, and I seriously don't think I get it at all. I don't see what is that great about this album.

this is an album you need to sit down and listen to start to finish to get it. If you still aren't feeling it after that then I'm guessing Mac Lethal's probably just not for you -- I mean, we can't all like the same stuff, right?
