The staff reviewer of this site that posted in here, thinks all hip-hop should sound like jazzy Gangstarr beats and stuff?
Kinda selling yourself short of a decent listening experience. If you're in the mood for jazzy, Fender Rhodes-laden, mushroom jazz type shit and play my record trying to satisfy that craving, you're going to hate my music. It's like playing Slayer's South of Heaven to soothe your baby daughter to sleep. These beats are full of dirty, gritty blues guitars and harmonicas and shit. Different sub-genre, if you kindly will?
I'd say listen to The Original 11:11 Sessions when you want to isolate yourself from the norm. When you want to correct society for all their sterile suburban sprawl and generic, half-baked solutions to fuck ups. When you wanna literally spit at the first suburban blond kid you see with roller-blades on. It's all about being bothered by disingenuous people.
The way the hyperbolic, anti-conformist drivel I just hacked in the paragraph above, makes you feel, is the emotion I am looking to remedy with this album. Now go!
