Yeah all of that is real quality music. I've only heard the one Bohren album Black Earth. It
was nice.

You bringing them up actually made me go dl Sunset Mission. I know a lot of people seem to put
it at the level of Black Earth so it'll be worth a shot.

Kinda funny that we both have heard the one that the other hasn't.

Black Earth is like the soundtrack to a city at midnight and Sunset Mission is the soundtrack to dawn. Both are amazing albums.

Also the new Mount Fuji record is the best thing to come out this year.

Thanks for the info Hyperion. Cool to see that they compliment each other in a unique way.

But hell yeah man. Gave Black Earth a spin earlier. Still love that shit. Gonna play Sunset Mission before I go to bed, I think.

Oh man it's a tough one. I think Sunset Mission, might be a little better, but damn they're close. I'll have to listen to it a few more times.

But Hyperion was right. They both def have a unique feel to them.

Yeah I just put it on. I have to compare them a few more times.

I think I'm gonna use my free summer time to get more into trip-hop and doom jazz and more similar atmospheric stuff. I'd forgotten how nice it was to get lost in it or even just have it pleasantly playing in the background.

Yeah nothing like putting some tunes and going for a nice walk.

I like playing the same sort of stuff once the day dies down and the house is all quiet at night after a long day.

I actually nearly stopped with the earbuds/headphones because I think I was starting to get a little hearing damage and I just wanted to be safe. I'll occasionally give an album a listen with them, but now I just listen in the car or on the stereo system at home.

As long as you dont listen to it at a crazy volume i dont think youre at risk of any abnormal damage.

Yeah I know I did a ton of damage to mine in high school cuz I was listening through my earbuds non-stop. I can probably listen on them as much as any normal person would now but I just kinda developed the habit of avoiding them for a time.

But I never actually listened at high volumes. It was just the incredible amount of hours I ended up accumulating that did damage. And the fuckload of shows I go to in the summertime.

Fucking Swans live gave me tinnitus, now I have to wear little dickhead looking plugs in my ears wherever I go

saw fucking Swans live twice, once in the snowy depths of winter, once in the glaring heat of summer. The ringing tone in my left ear is a not altogether unpleasant reminder of those happy yet difficult times

Darkjazz and doomjazz are indubitably the greatest genres ever to exist
