oh the album flows perfectly and I wouldn't really change a thing about it, just saying if I'm dividing it that first third is definitely the weakest part

Feel Good Lost is nice, yeah. going in with no expectations it's some pretty good ambient. you'd probably like the two KC Accidental albums too, like a weirder/scrappier FGL

Haven’t heard the two albums after this, should get on those I guess.

Just heard "Stars and Sons," chill af. They had 11 band members on this album? Gotta check the rest of this out.

This album and their s/t are straight classics and have such a great range of ideas, you've got a lot in store for you

amen to that. Always preferred the self-titled more though.

Hug of Thunder is pretty awesome as well.

[2] and [2] to both these. Self-titled is a glorious mess and Hug of Thunder is just the right kind of moody energy to make for a good comeback

glorious mess is an apt description for sure. Forgiveness... has some good songs but not on the same level i guess. the opener and instrumental meet me in the basement are fuckin killer though

Yeah that album's got some easy highlights and deep cuts (Romance to the Grave is a peak BSS jam) but the mid-section in general is a bit of a snooze

I've had this for many many years and until now I've only ever liked Looks Just Like the Sun. I think I've been wrong

my parents' local coffee shop was just playing Cause = Time this morning. genuinely the weirdest thing I've ever heard in a rural town lol

Haha love it when you hear songs in unexpected places like that. A lot of this would be fab coffee shop fare really

oh I'm certain you could wander into basically any small coffee shop in Vancouver and hear this album played on a loop (@canadians can you confirm?) but to hear it in rural Australia in a town of mostly 50+s was truly fuckin' wild. especially being Cause = Time which is more of a fan favourite than anything resembling a 'hit'. surreal

Holy smokes this is good. For some reason I was expecting this to be a fairly typical post-rock album but it's so so much more. Blown away.

it's a special album. consistently incredible performances start to finish and also great in that it so perfectly distills Toronto's early 2000s indie scene into one LP. i should prob 5 this.

Three listens in and it's only getting better. "Almost Crimes" is quickly becoming my next obsession.
