You were there, THEY were here.

Man, you're trying to replace me as grammar nazi. And doing a good job, I might add.

Don't watch vh1 then. I purposefully didn't purchase the package that channel is in.

I'll admit it has grown on me... But only because it gets played everywhere down under. I still think it's not one of the better tracks on here.

Same here. These fellas are supposedly Irish, but they sound very American to me.

They spent some years in America and were influenced by mainstream American music while they were there. Or so I gather.

That is correct Conor. They actually lived in LA for a while & did some decently high profile engineering/remixing/co-production on artists like Justin Timberlake & Britney Spears.

I think there is enough. Here are 5 reasons...

- The Script stick to the script. Next time, they should ad-lib more.

- dominant theme of the album is; relationship troubles and break-ups… Over and over again… To the point where it simply gets too much and begins to drag the listening experience down

- Not helping matters is the fact that only two of the ten tracks included here are under the four minute mark; usually a no-no when it comes to a pop album.

- While the latter half of the LP does attempt variety... its not entirely convincing anyway.

- an album full of safe tracks that may well be primed for radio airplay, but lacks the imagination, variety and standouts of its predecessor.

"A case could be made that almost all of the songs are fine in isolation, but it gets rather tiresome as a whole." My thoughts, exact. After the halfway mark, I realized that although I didn't dislike any of the tracks, there was the sense that there was just going to be more of the same. If The Script aspire to be an album artist, they're going to have to master the art of tracks that wake the listener up halfway through. Towards the end, it reminded me of Matchbox 20.
