The first half of this album's genius. I say that because it's the only half I've listened to so far, getting the album recently. However, I love the simplistic vocal nature, sounding more like sounds than words. It actually reminds me a lot of Bends/OK Computer era Radiohead.

Tis earsex, grunge Idaho boy thing.It's so easy to get lost inside the music. After listening to the album straight through I feel rather disoriented.

I don't find this band and the Smashing Pumpkins to have anything in common (on this album at least). To be honest I actually really don't like the Pumpkins, despite what my album ratings will tell you. Anyone who likes this owes it to themselves to get Souvlaki.

I think what grungeguy was trying to do was compare the sound of that extremley distorted guitar overlay of My Bloody Valentine and Smashing Pumpkins- that sound is pretty similar. Good review. This album is so trippy and well...just awesome. I love it. How do you get your guitar to do the tremelo effect for a whole one of thier songs without it getting far off tune?
