ooh, I actually dig this one too. Very nice.
This band is comfortable in many forms it seems. Impressive

Album really ups the ante after the opening run, there are many gems in that back half.
In fact this tentatively(?) might be my third fave already and thus I will declare... dream pop era > noise rock era (their 'noise rock era' is also mostly good, for the record - although I'm yet to here all of it)

The new one is better than Barragan at least, phew!
needs time to marinate, but it's certainly a marked improvement

This gem is so absurdly underrated. One of their absolute best

I'm listening to Kazu's LP from 2019, which to me is quite similar to Penny Sparkle. Actually, I may prefer it to this one. Was "Adult Baby" neglected back then, or am I having a wrong impression?

Adult Baby got a pretty muted reception, but sounds a lot more diffuse to me than most of these tracks - ig the t/t probably has the most in common? Not many BR records I'd take it over tbh

Definitely not many, but > Barragán for sure. Adult Baby has a special movie-like calming vibe with rich instrumentation, preventing me from work, which is telling.
