Myles is influeneced by a lot of old blues and he has a thing for old r&b he says influences his voice as well. Tremonti likes the older metal, he cites tallica/venom/ celtic frost as some of his favorites, among shredders like batio and John Petrucci. Brian the bassist is a rush fan and classic rock/ metal. Drummer scott likes everything pretty much.

Too bad, because if he would play like Geddy Lee we could actually hear him.

Damn you, mine was off the top of my head!

And you can actually hear Brian a lot, even in Creed his playing stood out more than a lot of bands.

It's also the mix, really. Guitar and vocals are way high up.

Ya, bass is less obvious in AB than it was for Creed now that you mention it. They would sound even better if they evened that out.

Human Clay is pretty good. Alter Bridge really isn't too much more than Creed actually using the talent they had.

Ya, a less restrained Creed with a better vocalist/better label.

I still like Higher and With Arms Wide Open, even with how much they got overplayed.

You know what Alter Bridge should do to be good as Creed? Myles Kennedy should make a sex tape with Uncle Kracker.

Me too, even though I think they are 2 of the weakest on the album.
