Album Rating: 3.5
Beyond "Unbreakable", "The Hunger", and "The Love We Had Before", Unbreakable is almost unbearable. The lyrics are incredibly generic and basic, and whenever the band starts playing a catchy melody, they squander it by repeating it over and over and over. It's like Kutless, if Jon Micah Sumrall had a vagina.
The Healing of Harms isn't nearly as bad as Unbreakable. At least the songs don't blur together in a mess of power chord obnoxiousness. That said, however, The Healing of Harms is plagued with vagueness and awkwardness -- "Liar" is especially cringeworthy -- and plays heavily on the "nonspecific third party" metaphor, as evidenced by "Action", "Something New", and "More Than A Love Song".
