I have this but haven't listened to it yet. Blue Album blew me away pretty hard so hopefully I'll enjoy this.

This is better than Blue. Not quite in the same vein, as this is dirtier, but it's still a wonderful album, it just needs a little time to grow.

After weezer's first two records, the band went downhill. The new stuff is alright, but pretty pretentious.

I actually enjoy most of their stuff except for their last album, and even that one had some good songs on it.

This is definitely my favorite album of all time. All those looking for another album to fill those old Weezer needs, check out Matt Sharp's other band, The Rentals. "Return of the Rentals" is so great. I firmly stand by my opinion that Weezer is dying of a slow, cold death because of Matt Sharp's departure. I mean... the bass line in "Tired of Sex"? WOW.

Just getting into Weezer, and feel I may be a few years too late which is a real shame. Nice review, although I felt I had to comment in order to defend fallinf for you, my favourite on this album. The key changes are what makes it for me, the thrid verse sounds amazing when it modulates into Em. Also the song uses every root note and includes the ironic lyric "what could you possibly see in little old 3 chord me", which admittedly I learned from reading another review and did not work out myself. But that is just genius.

man make believe straight up sucks, though Perfect situation was a well written weezer song. This could very well be the greatest album ever written.
Great music!!!!!!! Excellent Lyrics!!!!!!!!! Its a shame that Rivers went back into his shell after this. Thanks a lot RS!!!! ......... Great review btw.

Yeah, this was a good album after listening to it a few times. I don't really like the last few songs though.

This has grown on me so much. I listened to this back when I got into weezer with like.. the green album in middle school i believe. but yeah, heard this, and its more raw, turned me off when i was younger. came back to this, and i absolutely adore it now. so yes, listen to this.

El Scorcho > My life.

This CD keeps coming back to me...which I take is a good thing.
