Geminis in the Country is excellent. This is my fifth favorite Hammock, or Oblivion Hymns. The first two, DS, and E&N are their best.

Seriously if there was every a brilliant introduction to this band, its Secrets Still Remaining. One of the most uplifting and tearjerking songs I've heard. God I love this fucking band.

Mongi, if you have not already, check out Yo La Tengo (Gyro you already have them rated :P ). Not a post-rock band per se, but a good portion of their output has vibes very similar to Hammock's more post-rock side I'd say. Might lighter guitar, often with a shoegazey ambiance Some examples:
