I just listened to Tenth Wave and holy shit it was great. Kinda got a Moonspell mixed with Orphaned Land vibe from it.

Yeah, that's a great one. Check out the youtube link I posted on the other page to hear "Wreckages Ghost" as well. Most of the album should be on that site, too.

this sounds thicker and flashier than Carach Angren, but the vocalist is weaker and the album overall is less enjoyable

heh, I find the vocalist to be a lot stronger, but to each his own

lol how is he stronger, I'm just talking about the growling btw, don't care about the gay clean vocals. Carach Angren's vocalist is pretty untouchable as a bm vocalist, evil as hell

i had actually seen it somewhere when it was originally released, but put it off for whatever reason. Hope more people check it out.

Favorite parts?

Sorry man, I totally missed this, lol. Well, after hearing it four times now, I still think Wreckages Ghost, The Curse of Gypsy and Farewell are the best. I absolutely love that transition from The Shell to Wreckages. It's hard to pick out particular moments, as there are many and they're close to each other. Also the interludes kick so much ass.

I had a listening party with Danny and he said that he found it all average. His main criticism was with the production, which I can understand to a point. It's flashy and showy, but that's exactly why I love it as much as I do; it almost feels like it could be a musical on some grand stage.

Glad you like it Thanntos

And I agree on most of your picks Gyro, though I find it odd that Danny was turned off... The production of one of his favorite albums, Death's Design, is pretty showy, too tbh, buy yeah, to each his own

Hehe, I'm not the best user to inspire hype sadly, Matt, especially since I often go against popular opinion a lot. Still, this has been getting really awesome reviews from everywhere else, so maybe it will pick up here eventually.

I'm really starting to like Hunting the Human a lot.
