Nice review Machine. The entire 2nd last paragraph has me excited to hear this.
And let's all stop with the New Surrender hate. By now, we should be all old enough to know, but too young to care.

So many low ratings... I hope I like this more than you, Jared

I think you will, or at least like it just as much.
what did you think of new surrender?
|
| |
I actually just dropped that from a 4.5 to a 4 =/
|
| |
this album's highlights are not quiite as immediate as new surrender, and in general the first half is weaker than the second half. Still, you'll prob like it, matt

Of all the reviews posted this is my favorite. Because your last paragraph is spot on. This album is def on par with NTFP but not quite as good as cities. and as for NS.... as you also stated.... the first couple of songs rock but then it just trails off into boredom. Haight Street was my favorite of the end songs though (it was so cheesy catchy). I think NS is about up to par with BFTBM. But then again everyone on this site hates on blueprints when I loved it. It got me into this band from the beginning. Love these guys. Great Band. Great Review.
