yeah the guitars have a Traced In Air vibe at times
and Raz0r, Anomalies is right there with Lucid Interval, I dig the variety. LI's just the one I got first, so it wins by default ;)

Exploiting Dysfunction forever, they will never again reach the high water mark that was that album.
Everything since Lucid Interval has been going steadily downhill.
It's all still good, if not excellent compared to most stuff, but it's just not really Cephalic Carnage anymore, it's losing what made them so interesting, unique, boundary pushing, soul tickling and invigorating.
The album still rules, but I'm not sure whether that's a testament to them and the quality of the early stuff in comparison to this or to how shitty modern music is when this is the best it gets when it can be so much better.
Guess it's back off to the japanese jazz and noise scenes to get my kicks for now then, I just wish I could get some of those kicks from Cephalic Carnage too, i'm glad there's more sax though, they should make that a regular feature in all of their stuff. I don't get why people see it as so off limits. *shrug* Anyway, whutevs

Ya, while this is good, the memorability factor can wear a bit thin a little quicker than most cephalic releases.
