And yeah, Language destroys this. This is by far their worst lol

"Milquetoast" word is one of craziest English words agreed lol. Never used it in a sentence before but it perks up my ears every time I hear it lol
|
| |
I've heard it used against me a bunch of times by my more progressive friends - that im a "milquetoast liberal" (more of a centrist)

idk I haven't heard anyone actually explain well why Intrinsic is bad
I actually like it. it's not the most cohesive but this isn't either.

DDD that is the weirdest take I've seen on this band so far. Clairvoyant over Language? And how the fuck is Exo Redux first, and the original second last? That makes 0 sense, theres almost no difference on those 2 versions. Intrinsic is underrated.

This album rules but yeah the transitions are almost non-existent at times lol
|
| |
Exoplanet rules. Clairvoyant is more consistent and immersive than Language.

consistent yea but immersive I disagree. since Clairvoyant is so damn mellow the space they put to have the songs breathe makes it more boring than Language.

Eh I like Language significantly better. And the transitions on this are great, wtf.

I'm weird like that.
I love a lot Clairvoyant at all fronts (you may check that thread as found myself as a lone ranger a ton of times)
There's big and a lot of differences between Redux and this one (in fact I readjust my rating to be more accurate with the previous ranking)..the thing is that to "be spacey" I prefer the tighter production on Redux...and I don't mind admitting it.
Language annoyed me, and I don't quite know why...seems empty lyrically, just flowing with the ebb&flow of the music - but its cohesive a f (but not a damn closed circle such as Clairvoyant).
Intrinsic never grasped me in any way, but maybe its not so terrible as I think

Clairvoyant has more than enough heavy moments to give the quiet moments a sense of purpose. Also, it has The Center which is one of the most immersive metal songs in existence.

I only checked the redux once and it seemed identical, even the cover was the same. I only noticed a couple extra synths here and there, the whole thing just seemed pointless to me. I found myself getting bored during parts of Clairvoyant whereas Language just took me to another world. I think that's one of the most immersive albums ever. And Intrinsic is A LOT to take in. It's crazy and mathy, and they're really pushing the limit of weird things they can do with structure and transitions.

"into another world" a world with no feelings, only selftools like intuition, ebb&flow...bit redundant Lol I like Language, just prefer when things got more personal on Clairvoyant. That said Return to the Earth is the best track ever from these fellas. On redux even the guitars last longer - don t ever listen to this one if you care to be thrown onto space and get back.

No to mention the layers and depth from Clairvoyant that may appear simple songs at first glimpse but they re not. My vocabulary is short but I just can t give you a stronger argument than one of my personal experience, that few (if any other) albums made a mid 30's man cry. But well prob I was more sensitive at the time.
