This is a high 4 upon first listen. Will most likely grow with subsequent ones though.

It really is Bleed American 2010. I'm sure any JEW fan would love it.

I wasn't all that thrilled with Bleed American, truth be told. The singles were VERY catchy, and great songs, but I never really pursued the band further. Perhaps that was a mistake.

:O.
BLASPHEMY.
nah, fair enough, I for one loved and still love bleed american....and futures too.

NintendoCore, huh? I see we have us a SEA fan, amirite?

Ladies and gentleman; the winner of the “Jimmy Eat World’s Bleed American” Award for 2010 is… (Insert drum-roll and dramatic pause here)… The Graduate, with their second full-length album ‘Only Every Time’.
i'm loving you more and more every day DaveyBoy. hug me.

Good review dude! I'm not a really big fan of this style of music but you make it sound very appealing.

"... who has dibs on the upcoming Anberlin album?" Off the top of my head, it's Adam 'redskyformiles' Thomas. Don't worry, I'll tell him off if he gets it wrong. LOL. Good to hear you like this album a lot cbd. Thought you might. And yeah, it reminds me so much of 'Bleed American'. Especially when Corey sings "Hear Me Now" in 'Stuck'.
"Mae, huh? I liked that CD before my ex made me hate it. Will give this a try." Oh oh, this is always a recipe for disaster... Unless you think highly of this because it's better than Mae... & that's showing your ex!
"tbh i'd probably like this i've been listening to a lot of gay pop punk lately" Spare, this is not pop-punk... Nor gay.
"...I for one loved and still love bleed american....and futures too." This does not have the darkness of 'Futures'. It is definitely more of a 'Bleed American'. You'll like this to some extent NintendoCore.
"i'm loving you more and more every day DaveyBoy. hug me." Oy, none of that around here... At least not in public.
"yeah definitely going to have to get this, don't know why i haven't yet. great review davey" Thanks Matt. My first comment after the review is dedicated to you. LOL. I am interested to hear what you think about this, since you thought 'Anhedonia' was over-produced. This is even slicker, which scares me a little. But I really think they're a different band now & comparing this to 'Horror Show' is unfair.
"Good review dude! I'm not a really big fan of this style of music but you make it sound very appealing" Thanks ShinXetsu. I do realize many will think this too (for want of a better word) lightweight, but if you keep it in perspective for what it is & don't put the microscope on it, you should sense the fun & catchiness on it.

Because it's true. If it's Christina with black hair, I could see it yesterday, but not today.

And so, Davey starts up the hype train once more in 2010.
