Good review, I agree with a lot of this. Perry is a good bit closer to being an artist than the vast majority of the acts she has, unfortunately, associated herself with (Rebecca Black, Nicki Minaj, Jessie J, etc). And she is actually an interesting person, with the whole ex-catholic rebellion thing, obsession with everything bright and shiny, idgaf attitude, and her ability to pull off any guise she feels like (eat your heart out, Lady Gaga).
