As good as Tales?, please tell me this is as good as Tales

Both have their magical moments, that's for sure. I like the comparison with Supertramp that Titan just did.

I've checked out I Robot once and it really didn't impress me in the slightest. Would Tales of Mystery and Imagination or this make for a better introduction?

And the only link you can do with Supertramp and Alan Parsons Project is their trend to add pop elements into their progressive music. We could say the same for Electric Light Orchestra.

Yes Torontonian, I have to conclude that every albums in Fish era deserve at least a 4.5. But I still think Clutching at Straws is my 4th favorite.

The difference is that ELO is closer to art-rock, But Alan Parsons is more prog with pop elements

Pretty difficult to catch the difference though

I just tried to give another example which is hard to do. But ELO are sometimes totally into the prog rock side of the equation them too;

Anyway, I think that even when ELO sound full progressive, we can always detect some pop influences into their songs. That's why I thought about them as another example of prog band with pop elements in the first place. But you may be right; They're probably more art rock than anything.
