I like new stuff like these no bad songs, this album have some wonderful riffs and it sounds as Maiden should.

Album is underrated in terms of new maiden. Maybe people just haven't listened to this enough or just aren't so happy with it cause it's the newest Maiden album. The last 3 songs, The Talisman, The Man Who Would Be King and When the Wild Wind Blows are all great songs

It think it deserves a little higher rating but im right with you in how you explained the "bad habbits" of Maiden in recent efforts. Its hard to put into words but I think you captured it well.

last two albums amolad and this are not what id call maiden albums change in direction ok and im glad there still makeing albums but nothing here to get up for some good bits some good songs but on the whole a let down and as for when the wild wind blows what's going on people saying best maiden song ever i have listened and listened to it and it escapes me i even went for a pint when they played it live just sounds like an electric nursery rime
