@Rowan: Yeah Anderson's vox aren't as good on Aqualung (partly down to the production and mixing) which is why I suggested starting with TaaB and Minstrel as I know how important vocals are to you.

Aqualung is usually the album most people start with but I figured you might prefer the other 2 as starting points.

You're welcome. Yeah I guessed that might be the case. Hopefully you can get past the weaker vocals though as it's definitely one of their best. It's actually my favourite, partly for sentimental reasons as it was my first Tull album.

I'll give it time yeah, for the moment I'm gonna run with Minstrel as my favourite though. Have you had a chance to listen to Richard Wright's solo album yet?

definitely loving the bluesiness on this, quite mad hearing flute solos on this type of music lol

lol yeah. Apart from Bouree the flute playing doesn't actually sound that good on this album. Mainly due to the production I think.

"We Used To Know" is probably my favorite from this album and one of the first Jethro Tull songs I really got into.

We Used to Know is definitely one of the best on here.
