Bro - Lizard, Discipline, Lark's Tongues?

I can't imagine 2'ing those (they're also better than this one)

I was kinda exaggerating with my initial comment, but those albums are almost as bad as early Pink Floyd

I know it might be hard to accept. The first stage is always denial, anyway

Also agreed, bloc

this band sort of pisses me off as well even though red is sort of cool. not generally into proggy stuff though outside of some pink floyd

this band sort of pisses me off as well

explain.

i agree that colloquial 'prog rock' is for lames, but King Crimson are an exception. (along with some Pink Floyd, early Yes, and... maybe that's it lol.)

Prog rock kinda pisses me off in general. Sometimes it's amazing but a lot of the time it feels like the musical equivalent of having a conversation with that guy that talks way too much rambles on and on yet somehow never really says anything

Lot of really cool prog from the late 60s early 70s, though, when it was more a descriptor of intent than a specific codified genre, back before a bunch of bands slotted into the rip-off Yes/rip-off Genesis binary.

You guys really gotta do my pie chart like that :-(

Prog's a cool genre, got me into exploring obscure music genres to begin with. A lot of the 70s prog offers some incredibly unique and awesome music, in the case of KC, Gentle Giant, early Genesis, etc. and just some nice jams like Pink Floyd

^Agreed.

And Sledd, just jam Univers Zero, make all prog-shaming obsolete
