She looks a bit like Milhouse, if he was blonde, sixteen and a pop singer. I think it's the small eyes...

Good review, but

If you honestly can write more endearing pop songs about getting your heart broken and falling in love and all the other very very generic things that teenagers will always do, then congratulations; you should buy yourself a microphone and an acoustic guitar and get to work.

you really just want a comma here. Otherwise, awesome review.

Haha, actually no I didn't. I hear your argument, but that doesn't make what I said any less valid. And a 4.5? Are you sure you don't want to change that?

A 4.5 isn't ridiculous for this album. It's near perfect for what it achieves to do.

Yes, you achieved your aim.

That's kind if irrelevant though. I suggest you stop comparing this to all those "technical" bands and compare it to other pop albums. When you do that this is near perfect and definitely deserves the higher rating.

Meh, I would disagree because although it may be success in your eyes, it's not success within the broader spectrum of things. Which leads into why I don't simply just compare this to other pop albums. I like to think of things on a broader scale. Although this may be a pop album, and the style of music is different from what I normally listen to (alternative rock, folk, metalcore) music is still music, and so I tend to compare everything whether they are in related genres or not. I know this is not 'technical'. I don't care about that. But I can say the quality, not the technicality, of the musicianship and the lyrics is very average. I'm not hating, I just don't think it deserves that much praise.

What you're saying is that you don't gauge success off what you want to achieve, you gauge it on what you actually achieved. So if I wanted to write a pop music album and somehow managed to write a good metal one, you would consider that a success because the end product is desirable? An interesting notion, and I do appreciate where you're coming from.

You're going to get shot down very quickly with this mentality. You're basically saying that you'd compare icecream to sausages, which is just absurd.

Once again, I appreciate where you're coming from, I just disagree with you.
