Flying lotus dropping 'forgive' off the 1st album at a festival in a small room with about 100 in there while being extremely mashed in M was one of the highlighs of my life I think.

Nah last few times I didnt enjoy it at all. The show itself was better of course but every time after he blew up , for me, its been in an over sold venue with loads of people being dickheads. When he was just emerging and you knew something special was going on but he was still playing small rooms was my most enjoyable period seeing him live.

Its just different I hate to be that guy who is always like 'OHHH IT WAS BETTER X YEARS AGO' But that IS ME haha so fk it.

Seen him once at his own show and twice at like a well known UK series of club nights which loads of people just go to get absolutely battered. Obviously his show now is MUCH better in how he presents it and shit it looks phenomenal he used to just live DJ but being right next to him with like 100/150 peeps sometimes less going crazy was the shit. I could list 50 acts/djs/bands I feel that way with. Im just not a fan of big shows in general once youve seen an act on a smaller stage (when they were just as awesome ofcourse) . Like I said Im THAT asshole.

Its kinda both its only onces a year over a weekend. The line ups are insane its underground. It used to be great then they started massively over selling it your just getting people pushing past no matter where you are its insane. So stupid. Ruined but its a combination of the acts AND the getting battered I think. But once youre battered you soon forget ....

I loved discovering that he used soudnforge rather than a more traditional DAW and created the percussion through trial and error just by looking at the waveform shape [citation needed]
