3.5 plus band...except maybe this new one? yall agree? no? ok then

New one is the worst. Polar Similar is about the same, neither are awful but def not up to their usual standards. Everything else is great

"Polar Similar is about the same" ....so far from the truth dude! Putting Polar Similar side to side to that "boom boom" new shit is really inaccurate.

Polar Similar is fuckin fire.

Polar Similar does have more standout tracks and a way better closer than All Hail, so yea it could probably edge it out. Those two are both pretty far behind Wrongdoers though, and that’s my least fave of their works up until that point

See both sides of the coin, weather in time, or progression towards a more melodic/ accessible tones on creativeness. That's all I'm saying...band ain't dumb t'ill now X(
|

“Accessible tones” is probably the draw behind their last few. I personally prefer their more noisy shit

Polar Similar was the least instantaneous NJ album for me. I expected Wrongdoers II and was initially disappointed. But then it hit me like a truck - the intensity there is as huge as on any quality metalcore release this decade.

Dude...I'm always changing minds on everything...Yet, whenever I put play on Polar Similar, its like I know its potentially not going to be my fave...but then all tracks are so cool, and as an album it doesnt get kinda lost as many NJ's, as awesome as they are, mind. For me it has "what Deftones could be if they weren t on shoegaze road, with moar screams"...songwrting feels really fresh, oh...and it really has musical notes, unlike most of their latest.
Just make another honnest spin with other "eyes", minding a DDD stamp, or a deftones look if you like.
At least I know many users would agree with me its their best, even those (like me) that enjoy raw and heavy music as well.
Edit: and...there's one!

I don’t think any of Norma Jean’s albums “get lost”, they’re all pretty purposeful and cohesive. The first few especially
