lol TAAB 2 doesn't "suck" in any way. Its clearly not as good as this(considering this is probably in the top 3 prog albums ever made), but its still a really nice piece of work.

I really disliked it. Its like Ian threw away all its prog influences. personally it sounded like it had mor AC/DC than say... King Crimson

^TAAB2 may not be as musically progressive as this but it still has plenty of prog elements. The concept of it is actually quite clever too as it can be taken both as a sequel to this and also as a seperate concept dealing with the theme of life's parallel possiblities.

I haven't heard TAAB 2. Would you still recommend it?

I most certainly would.

It's nowhere near as good as this (very few albums are) but it's still one of the best albums Tull/Ian Anderson has released in years.

This is one of those albums that not just essential to own, but also essential in Vinyl format as well. I have it and it is by and far the absolute most amazing album packaging Ive ever come across.

Yes, TAAB II is really great. I'm considering to bump it up to a 4.5 since it's as exciting as any classic Tull's to me.

You got this for $2.50? That's awesome! Thick as a Brick is probably the best Jethro Tull album. Haven't been able to find this one myself, yet.
