Sounds fun, I saw BM and didn't necessarily expect that, but also I did because of the hardcore thing. I've been discog jamming ETID recently, so partycore is fine by me.

I've heard Converge mentioned although that could just be the usual 'let's mention a popular example of the wider genre' thing people always do.

OK this definitely seems like a good time. No idea what they're on about, but I don't really care. I did find it slightly odd that a band who's vox/lyrics are in Norwegian seemed to have generated some (presumed) wider appeal, but think I understand now. Cool that it was possible.

That's because non-native English speaker don't really care about the lyrics, we can't understand it either way

And also, they fucking rip

Caring about lyrics in anything black metal related is kinda useless anyway~

To clarify my earlier point it wasn't a personal thing, I definitely don't care about the lyrics. I mean two of my top 3 albums from last year were in languages I don't understand, there's also the countless number of extreme metal bands where the lyrics are virtually indecipherable.

I just imagine this being a deal-breaker for some people, surely anyone can see that it lowers the level of accessibility a little?

caring about lyrics in metal is a joke because most of the time they are so bad

like seriously 90% of the time
