Killing With a Smile is so much better than anything that followed.

KWAS has half good songs and half just plain bad songs. Guns For Show/Mutiny/Picture Perfect, namely.

You're in a minority. A lot of people think it's their worst.

I know. I've been considering writing a review for it for the longest time but this already has too many reviews and I cbf. Basically tho, production rules, drums and vox aren't overtriggered, bass frequencies are actually audible, breakdowns actually flow and don't sound as forced, album actually has an overarching vibe and it's waaaaay closer to their live sound and vibe than anything they've put out since DCYE. Horizons is obviously them trying to be a catchy scenecore band and KWAS had some fun skate-punk metalcore on it but was ruined by the forced melodies and even more forced breakdown fests.

Parkway were the first heavy band I got into and have been my favourite ever since. I've expanded my taste heaps but no matter the hate they will always be my favourite. I love every album they've done. Karma on this is my favourite.

I heard KWAS when I was 12 and thought it was the best ever. I'm on the fence on picking a best.

I get so fucking irate that this album is considered their worst. It has some of their best songwriting and Joe Barresi's production is the best treatment Parkway have ever got. Easily their strongest complete album, it's heavy as fuck and has an amazing organic, bassy vibe.
