was hoping Gus would come in and really help Ozzy make something good again
that hasn't happened

Didn't listen through this album, but I just got back from seeing Ozzy and it was quite an amazing show. Giving Gus 12 minutes to solo was maybe a little much, but when they played Into the Void it pretty much made my night.

Just a quick note, no surprise that Adam Wakeman plays keys on here, as he's played with live with Black Sabbath for several years (not sure exactly how long). It would only be natural for him to play with Ozzy too. Also may have played with Ozzy live previously (I'm pretty sure he has). Difficult to say cuz he's one of these hired guns that artists seem to want to have in the background without acknowledging. But anyway, def. played with Sabbath in recent years, and of course Rick Wakeman played on at least one or two Sabbath albums (maybe live too?)

I can say I'm very familiar with Sabbath's discography and as far as I know Wakeman has only played on Sabbath Bloody Sabbath.

Osbourne is a lot like Alice Cooper, in that they are both spectacular showmen. However, Alice Cooper has a lot of versatility in his voice, and so his albums are good, even without the live experience to complement them. Osbourne, however, has no flexibility in his voice. Even though he is (was) capable of going very high (I believe his highest recorded note is a G5, but don't quote me), he never writes songs outside of his normal range. The vocal melodies are bland. You need to see Ozzy live to really enjoy him.

While I admit that this album is no classic, there are some tracks worth listing to. Diggin' Me Down is probably the best track on the album.

This is my second favorite album of God.

This record was unfairly received by audiences and pseudo critics. Shame.
Scream is not Ozzy's best record sure but We can find very cool and intense moments here like Let It Die, Let Me Hear You Scream or Diggin' Me Down.
Gus G performance is also very cool.
Underrated.

I dont know why everyone is giving this album such a hard time, I really enjoyed it actually, theres some great guitar work and Ozzys got some great vocal parts to go with it. It aint no Blizzard of Oz but its still good.

There's some good songs on here. I can't really stand the modulated voice shit, but this was definitively better than black rain. I don't think this is a bad album or anything. Highlights for me are time and life wont wait.
