I'm looking forward to my CD and iTunes orders arriving so I can try and follow the lyrics. My German is non-existent but I try to growl along anyway. Hopefully there will be translations on the inlay card.

I don't like Die Affeninsel very much. One of the worst tracks on the album. Still not bad, but it's just a "meh" for me.

Didn't like the production for this album much either. There's noticeable mistakes in track 1 where the sound just dies out for a split second, it's annoying as hell. The drums are a bit too quiet too.

The drums? Really? I have no problem hearing them. And his drum parts have grown on me slowly. I actually like the production on this album. I find it pretty easy to discern both guitar parts (as well as the other instrumentation) in songs like "Die Affeninsel," which might actually be my favorite track. Although "Der Ewige Sie" is also monumentally awesome. Anyone else not sure if "Fahrtwind" is awesome or just a bit too much?

Didn't like Fahrtwind much. Best tracks for me are In Heiligen Hallen, Verbrannte Erde and Aus Ferner Zeit. The drums are okay and not too much of a problem, but I wish they were louder. When comparing the production of this album to Sagas, the new album sounds inferior to me.

Der Ewige Sieg is a great track but it falls short for me because I can't help but feel it's been done before so many times, particularly the rhythm guitar which has the same form as so many other songs (ABCB). But I must admit, I love the melody after 2:00. Gets me every time.

Good review, man. I actually think this is a pretty good album, different from Sagas that's right, but good anyway.

Remember those ShamWow! commercials where the spokesman said, "it's from Germany; you know the Germans have always made good things?"

Yeah well whenever I think about that my mind flashes to concentration camps and this band.

I think this album is pretty damn good, not as good as Sagas but still a solid 4 - 4.5. These guys can do no wrong in my book.

Solid album and I love every track, parts of Der Ewige Sieg especially from 2:04 onwards sound like Ensiferum's From Afar.

Favorites are In Heiligen Hallen, Verbrannte Erde and Aus Ferner Zeit.
