Now Jeff, I just got married. By posting that & making me watch/listen to it, all you're trying to do is cause trouble. ;-)
F'n awesome. I really wanna see her live. Wifey better come along to hold me back though.

A recent sputniker's list of 2010 female vocalists drew me to Amy and I liked what I sampled from her 2 albums which I'll get soon. Ellie Goulding and Amanda Jenssen also got my attention and I like their songs.

She'll be in my top 20 albums of the year, if only just. And I'm pretty sure that's the only love she'll get from the staffers... Unless Dave is secretly Scottish & has good taste in women.

Thanks Jeff.
Speaking of, that's a big rock on Amy's finger in that video. It looks like third rate Scottish footballers make more than I think.

haha you were right under my nose, handy list, thanks Jeff

Engaged. Can't recall his name, but he plays in the 2nd tier of Scottish football the last I heard. Check her wiki page.

I saw Amy live at a festival in June and I didn't know who she was but I was hooked straight away! I've been listening to both her albums constantly since then and I haven't gotten tired of them yet. Spark and No Roots are my faves :D

Well said. I recall the 1st time I heard her & I had no idea who it was. Been hooked since. Unfortunately, I have not yet had the pleasure to see her live. She better not make me go overseas to do so.

She's been here at Pinkpop in both '08 and '09 ;). I admit I haven't actually seen her though.

Unfair... She should have skipped '09 & come down under.

I will hope for you she does soon come over Davey. It is unfair indeed.

To be fair, hardly anyone in Oz knows who she is.

"It is always interesting – and often telling – to see which songs an artist chooses to cover over the span of their career."
I prefer covers that are completely different and unique to the original. I really hate covers that are the exact same as the original, just different people performing it. I find that pointless.

Then they hardly deserve her...

Just keep popularising her, eh?.

It is. Covers should be a new interpretation. Imitations are boring and, like you said, pointless.
