"What's everyone's opinions on the original mix vs. the 2013 remix?"
My opinion is based on my experience with the 200 gram vinyl re-release. So, 2013 remix may have a better bass and clear sound, but the treble is somewhat worse, for example, the drums' cymbals do not sound very good.

Stick with the original vinyl rip I say, 2013 remix is solid though.

"70's way better than 80's production, 70's sound timeless, 80's sound like the 80's."
Hard fax. There's barely any 80ies album that hasn't aged badly in terms of production. 70's albums, especially something like the classic albums from PF, sounds brilliant to this day

The 80's had amazing production in more synth/electronic based music though

I've seen them for Beat in 1982 (they played the entire Beat and most of Discipline plus extras such as ''Red'', ''Larks Tongues part II'' and things) and for Three Of A Perfect Pair in 1984. Both in Montreal. That show was immortalized by the live CD Absent Lovers released in 1998, as shown here on Sputnik. for that show I was so close to the stage I could have seen their eyes.
Two memorable shows, featuring Bruford's prowess on his electronic drums, le grand Fripp, motionless, sat on a chair... he was raising a leg in need., Tony Levin with his long legs, long coat playing the stick bass like no one, and finally, Adrian Belew singing his heart and being agressive with his guitar...
I'm glad for you, Sirlord. Three drummers, wow it's crazy!
