Well at least three songs are attempting the Talking Heads style.

Whether they succeed is open for debate...

'Fly Trapped in a Jar' and 'Education' are certainly attempts at a David Byrne's delivery, I mean c'mooooon

If you can't hear the Talking Heads influence on Education, Fly Trapped in a Jar and Steam Engenius, you can go back and jam their debut for yourself dude

Oh lol no, Good News is like a fat-free version of this, but also without most of the depth and complexity

We Were Dead is the name of the album

Definitely some Byrne in both vocal delivery and phrasings here and there

I mean TH are one of those bands whose influence ranks only behind The Cure, The Beatles, The Stones and Radiohead in how much it's quoted

'I can't hear the Talking Heads influence on Education, Fly Trapped in a Jar and Steam Engenius.'

Damn, my first reaction on my very first listen was Brock is ripping off David Byrne a bit...he's innocent! Bumping 'We Were Dead' to a 4.5 immediately in light of this.

Maybe if you're talking about bad, late-era Talking Heads.

I probably am! Or even bad solo David Byrne

This is still valid

Plus 'Education' and 'Fly' have a conscious...awkward funk...to them.

Ok, I'm listening to 'We Were Dead' right now and starting to hate it, why couldn't we just let latter era Modesto Mouse rest in peace

Yes, this band are 100% not what I want to listen to right now.

I guessed this, now my instincts are proven correct.

19 scrobbles in 18 months was working out.

Whenever I get back to listening to this band I go for 'Moon & Antarctica' first, it pulls you back in, you have to build up to all the 'Brock Barking' tracks
