The Bright Eyes comparison is spot on, I thought of "I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning" straight after hearing the opening track. It's great so far.

This is legit one of my favorite albums, probably Top 5.



I have a giant soft spot for bands who sound like they have shitty production budgets, but still try to make massive and epic-sounding music anyway. This album is kind of the apex of that for me.



Muchacho is similarly grand, but it sounds so much cleaner and has such better production value, and that kind of kills the magic a bit for me.
