"kinda like you listened to the whole album and they're saying "this album has been your warning", like they're leaving you with that"

Well, take this analogy for example;

When you see a Beware sign, it generally what you should beware below it. Like "below - high voltage" or whatever. So you normally have your warning and then the context after it. Not the other way round.

That's just how I see it anyways. Still a bitchin' closing track as well though.

Can't wait to see what else these guys come up with!

hahahaha you guys are actually analysing this. Believe me, there's nothing but pretense here, no depth whatsoever. Plus, Kim is a total water head. Watch any of their interviews - one comes to mind when the interviewer asks if there's any message or particular meaning to Space On The Wall, to which Kim replies, "Um... I think we'll just leave that one open to interpretation. Yeah." And the way he says it, my God. Great band, but an intellectual void if there ever was one

Hahaha that Kim guy just ruins this band for me. His voice is pretty unique but damn what a tool.

I wasn't a huge fan of We Are but I'm still interested to see how Asymmetry will turn out. Thats great these guys have something new going on too. I started listening to both bands around the same time.

This is one of the worst albums I've listened in all my life. Can somebody explain me why are they categorized as progressive? It's the same f***** song repeated over and over again. Zero dynamics.

I tried, I really tried, but this is the definition of bad, repetitive music. And I'm quite generous with my ratings. That should give an idea of how bad this is.

*Listens to "One Step"*. *Listens to "The Design"*.

*Herpderps*

Maybe take your FooBar/Winamp off Repeat Track? Putting this at a 1, you're having a good laugh.

Saying that you are usually 'generous' with ratings, and a '1 shows how bad this album' is should be

a good impetus for people reading this and curious to check 'This is the Warning' to do just that.

Not attempting to value and weigh your own subjectivity against a projected objective approach of an

album in how you put a number on it communicates you shouldn't be using an arbitrary rating system.

Like/dislike will work better for you.

I'm not being arbitrary with the rating. The album is THAT bad. It's just generic alt rock bands like Karnivool have done way better before.

Also there's nothing "progressive" about it. The songs are so lineal, the replay value is zero. I'm not rating 1 because of it not being progressive (before you say anything about it), but because of being bad, repetitive and boring.

And don't tell me to listen to this or that song, I've listened to this plenty of times in it's entirety and it's worse with every spin.

Ok, let's just say I don't get it.

Clearly obvious you didn't listen to the whole album as it gets progessive towards the middle of the album. First 3 songs are a bit samey yeh, cause they're the singles.

Songs like Cage, The Design, The Drum, Walk and the title track are all amazing.
