hmm, just got this. not bad at all.
the kill is pretty good, but it's so overplayed... and for some reason suddenly so long after the album release it's swamping MTV. i also like From Yesterday. so good single choices by the band.
however, apart from other songs like attack and beautiful lie, i tihnk this album lacks depth.
i can already see myself getting tired of it in awhile. the songs sound a bit too similar. and the slower songs a re a bit boring.

They say 30 is a prog band...I say its a another emo band (compare The Kill to I Dont Love You - MCR and you'll see what I mean)
They say Jared is a good man...I say his full of shit
They say this is the new breed of bands...I say its true...but its grouped with the "Im in a band thats so cool and I have a big head. My ego is so kewl. Im better than you" AKA Angels and Airwave's Tom Delonge...He used to be so kewl.
Bottom line- If you love him or hate him...more hate him, watch Fight Club and see Jared get beaten to within a inch of his life. *Cue evil laugh*
I only like The Kill and From Yesterday because they grew on me over a couple of months. A couple of months!

This album kinda bores me, don't get me wrong, Leto has a powerful voice and the music has a thick texture, but the overall feel just proves bland.

I really liked Attack and The Kill, and I bought the cd based on those songs. The rest of the album was really just a disappointment. They're really not that good. Jared Leto is pretty full of himself too. But I guess I would be too if I were in Fight Club.

just checked the imdb profile, it says he was "angel face". i think that's the guy that the narrator told he couldn't join fight club cause he was "too blonde".
