snipe: listen to Los Angels and you'll see what I mean, it's alot darker, less playful than this, where this has alot of "really?" moments, like where he samples ping pong balls on Table Tennis, and it's like well shit, he's just showing off now. But it's cool. He can pull it off.

I just got LA a few days ago but I'm swamped with shit to listen to, so I'll do it soon haha. And I guess I can see what you mean about "really?" moments, but nothing on here ever sticks out of the texture too badly for me, although I suppose that's what you meant by "He can pull it off" anyway. I just love ittt

:c either way I'll give it a few spins. I'll probs still like it, and I'm not expecting anything nearly as immersive as this, just some other non-this-album electronic/trip hop stuff.

At times this is just a bit too scattershot, and aside from a few moments he doesn't allow enough time for his sound to sink in. He's rocking a completely different vibe now

Like Roach said a few pages back, Flylo's got a good thing going on but he's not the only one doing it

Yo Dev, could you recommend some artists similar to flylo? I really dig all the sampling and the massive productions he creates with just a laptop.

Obviously whether or not you'll think these guys are as good as Flylo is entirely up to you, but there's a lot more in this scene than just one man

Yeah I like L.A. better. It's alot more immersive, alot more real.

Really digging Los Angeles. As opposed to this album, L.A. appears to be a lot more defined in vibe and sound, while Cosmogramma is more of a spacey variety of different motifs and textures. I have no clue which one I like more.

thanks for the recs dev, i listen to dabrye and prefuse i don't know why they didn't come to mind cuz they are quite similar. i dunno there is just something about the textures of this album that make it seem all so new even though its not.

I can dig that
