I really like the remastering of this album, all the different instruments are very clear. I hope the Allman Brothers will get a touch up like this.

Great review man. Blues is definitely overlooked on this site, especially Albert King. I mean, his discography is bare! I just added The Big Blues, his first album. If nobody does a review of it soon, I might have to myself, just as soon as I can polish off another Chicago review or two.

Been digging some John Lee Hooker lately. Mad Man Blues is one of the best blues songs

I'll give the song a listen Nero even though I'm not a big fan of folk blues. I dig Sonny Boy Williamson though.

Well, his Original Folk Blues album is quite typical of the style. Maybe not so typical as Sonny Boy Williamson but still. It's the blues no question about that (with deep delta influences) but there are elements of country and folk. Check out his Hobo Blues song taken from the American Folk Blues Festival somewhere in the '60s. It might sound a lot like delta to a lot of guys so we may be nitpicking here so yeah.

Production is so dense yet bare somehow. So refreshing vs overly polished and compressed albums

Oh, Pretty Woman is so damn good. Great blues riffing
