Disintegration's a bit more melodramatic and theatrical (I dunno if that's the word I'm looking for, but I hope it makes sense), whereas this one's nice and dark and comparatively barebones in the best way. Perhaps the synthy OTTness of Dis throws you off
Cold's one of the best things they ever did though, as is A Strange Day
